Honestly, lack of plastics in medical devices would affect humans far more than not being able to use disposable paper cups. We now have plastic made from hemp, kelp, and yuca. I’m sure there are other biodegradable plastics as well. As for growing food locally, we need to do that! I can also live without fleece and synthetic fibers, but go ahead and make them for firemen or astronauts or someone who really needs them. Plastic is like other inventions, it can be good or bad depending on how we humans use it.
